In the past, the foundation offered a "minigrant" program. Through this program, teachers were given the opportunity to apply for grant funding up to $1,500 to help support creative and enriching activities for their students. Past projects have focused on literacy, hands-on learning and experience that students would not otherwise have the chance to enjoy. The Foundation has been able to support classroom projects that directly impacted 98 teachers and 1,846 students. In April of 2010, the Foundation hosted its "First Annual Student Showcase" a Fine and Performing Arts event highlighting the work and talent of the District's students under the direction of their instructors. Just over $6,200 in proceeds were raised which will be used to assist in the purchase of Student Response Technology for classrooms. Showcase patrons were treated to an afternoon of student performances from the District's bands, drama teams and chorus members. Event goers also enjoyed a student artwork exhibit complete with a silent auction of donated student work, a bake sale, basket raffle and a silent auction on donated items from college and NFL players as well as area businesses.

Monies raised during the Annual Fund Drive will be used to support student and faculty needs, provide educational partnerships, help with school projects and assist with foundation operational expenses. No contribution is too small and your gift is tax deductible. You can conveniently gift by writing a check (made payable to The Warren City Schools Foundation) or by using a credit/debit card.
